My name is Lisette Amelia

I was born in England . I moved to the beautiful Ionian Island of Corfu when I was a teenager, and have lived here for over 30 years.

I am a qualified Yoga teacher and have been teaching it for over 12 years to all levels .

The word 'Yoga' is derived from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj' meaning
'to join' or 'to unite' . Yoga is  union of the mind , of the emotions
and of the body.
Yoga is an ancient art based on harmonizing a system of complete equilibrium of body , mind and spirit.
Holistic health is an approach to life, rather than focusing on illness or specific parts of the body, Holistic health approach considers the whole person and how he/she interact with their own environment. Holistic wellness is significant between physical and mental health.
Yoga is a holistic science , it seeks to build a lifestyle that values calmness, harmony and positive thinking. In many ways yoga helps towards the health and wellbeing of an individual

Mathraki Island

Located 7 miles off the coast of Corfu, Mathraki is one of the most secluded Greek islands to visit for total peace of mind! It belongs to the Diapontia island complex along with Erikoussa and Othoni.
Mathraki is an unspoiled island and is usually visited by people who enjoy isolation and privacy and is an ideal location for a holistic yoga and wellness daycation

Getting there

Leaving from Ag Stefanos port at 10.15am on the small  passenger ferry Pegasos . Pegasos typically takes 45 minutes to Mathraki. You will encounter many Mathraki island citizens, a few tourists heading for the further islands of Othoni and Ericoussa, provisions, small building supplies, suitcases, small suitcases, bags of shopping and (yes) a toilet.  It runs several times a week and normally returns from Mathraki at approximately 2-4pm arriving back at 3-5pm

Not only does swimming offer a refreshing break from the stresses of daily life, but it also provides a unique environment for mindfulness and relaxation. The rhythmic movements, combined with the soothing sensation of water, can help alleviate anxiety, improve mood, and promote overall well-being.
What better way to relax than swimming in the crystal clear waters that surround Mathraki
Sunbathing
 Relax in the beautiful tranquility of Mathraki. Get some essential Vitamin D.
Sunbathing is known in Greek as  "ηλιοθεραπεία" (iliotherapy) which translates  as "Sun therapy"

Animal-assisted therapy

What happens in a session will depend on you, the issues you’re bringing to therapy and the animal you’re working with.

Different animals can help in different ways. Your therapy might involve cats, dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, horses, pigs – or even fish or birds.

Sessions might include stroking, touching, watching, grooming or feeding the animal. You may walk with dogs, collect eggs from hens or cuddle an animal. To help you explore and understand the feelings coming out of your interaction with the animals.
